Today is both a day of celebration and sadness.

Celebration because our little girl turns 2 today!

Sadness because we are not there to celebrate with her.

Celebration because she is a loved daughter and sister!

Sadness because she does not yet know what it means to be a daughter and sister.

Celebration because we leave in less than two weeks to bring her home!

Sadness because there will be much loss and trauma in removing her from everything she’s ever known.

Celebration in the most beautiful living picture of the Gospel.

Celebration that God has been and continues to provide for us to run to our girl!

Celebration that God loves and promises to care for orphans.

Celebration that Fallon is my girl and I get the privilege to hold her in 2 weeks and be her mommy forever!
